MUSEUMS ARE FUN!

Have you ever been to a museum? It’s full of really, really old and interesting things (even older than Ivy!) They have dinosaur bones, special paintings - that look like they were really hard to do - and funny clothes people wore in the olden days. Sometimes you can have tea and cakes there, too, but not old cakes because they would taste funny…yuk! Even Mousey wouldn’t eat an old cake J This weekend you can even go to a museum AT NIGHT. Oooh, how exciting! Mousey, Bobble, shall we go?

YUM, YUM, YUM! A SANDWICH IN MY TUM 

Oooh, guess what! This week everybody everywhere is making sandwiches, even the Queen I think. My most favourite sandwich EVER is raspberry jam. Spread, spread, spread I go with the jam so it’s nice and thick and rasberryish, then stickiness gets on my fingers and Mousey has to lick it off. You can make sandwiches out of all sorts of food. Sometime I make a pretend sandwich, too, out of play dough I had in my pocket. What sandwich are you going to make this week? Please, please, please send me a picture!

Emily Button Art Competition Results

Hello everyone

We’ve had a wonderful time looking at all your fantastic masterpieces!

It was great to see so many different places and Emily was so excited to see your favorite places in the whole wide world.

We spent lots of time looking at all the wonderful drawings whilst having tea and cake with Elaine, who is the creator of all things Emily Button.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent in their drawings plus a very special thank you to all your parents and grandparents for helping you either post or email your drawings to us.

Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for ... the results!

Winning entry - Shannon, age 4, wowed us with her picture of the fairies in her garden and will be very shortly receiving her winners prize.

Runner up 1 - Emily, age 4, with her very wonderful adventures in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Runner up 2 - Alice, age 2 1/2, who made us all want to go on the snail ride at Great Yarmouth.

Winning entry - Eve, age 6, impressed us all with her picture of London and we do hope Eve enjoys her birthday trip to the capital.

Runner up 1 - Mia, age 8, with her amazing sweetie land which we would all love to visit.

Runner up 2 - Tiffany, age 7, with her very beautiful wishing tree.

Unfortunately we only had one entry for this category which was a wonderful drawing of a tiger by Penelope, age 11. This meant we were unable to judge the category however we will be awarding Penelope an extra special prize for her entry.

A huge congratulations to all our winners and runners up from Emily Button, Elaine and the team.

We’d like to once again say a big thank you to everyone who entered and we will be shortly sending out everyone who took part a certificate and badge.

We do hope you enjoyed the competition and keep an eye out for the next one coming soon!

Thank you to all the budding artists who have sent me their fantastic masterpieces. The Art Competition is now closed. We have had lots of fun and really enjoyed receiving your pictures. I have added them to my Facebook page, so go and have a look if you like. Click here.
